Is PassportSnap free?

Yes. No account, no payment, no watermark, no per-print fee. Free for personal and commercial use.

Does my photo get uploaded?

Core editing — background removal, cropping, sheet rendering, and PDF export — runs in your browser. The photo lives in browser memory while the tab is open and is cleared when you close it.

Do I need an account?

No account is required to use the studio, edit, or download your sheet.

Using the tool

What input formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, and WebP. A minimum input of 600 × 600 px is recommended for good output.

Can I mix passport and stamp size on one sheet?

Yes. Set both counts in the studio. Up to 3 different people fit on the same sheet for family applications.

Can I change clothes in the photo?

The clothes-change feature is in preview. The current studio supports background removal / replacement and cropping.

Printing

Where can I print the output?

Any pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, Boots), photo lab, print shop, or home photo printer. See where to print passport photos.

What resolution is the output?

300 DPI on 4 × 6 inch or A4 sheets, exported as PDF or PNG.

Technical

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Safari 14+, Edge 90+ on desktop. iOS Safari 14+ and Android Chrome 90+ on mobile.

Does it work offline?

After the first page load, core editing features continue to work without an internet connection.
